For 911 ECCs

The Problem You Already Know

If you manage or coordinate a 911 center, you already know what inaccurate MLTS location data looks like on the receiving end. A call comes in from a large office building or campus. The address is correct but the floor and room information is missing, truncated, or wrong. Your telecommunicators are working with incomplete information while first responders are trying to locate someone in a multi-story building. Every second of that delay matters.

How Does 911complypoint® Benefit Public Safety Agencies?

Technology solutions alone are not enough! We ensure that technological advancements and updates in communication systems are implemented correctly, and that the organization has a plan to support them, further supporting the effectiveness of emergency response systems nationwide.

  • Reduced Response Time Kari’s Law compliance for direct dialing to 9-1-1 ensures that emergency calls are made quickly, reducing the time it takes for PSAPs to be notified and first responders to be sent for more effective emergency response.

  • Better Location Accuracy RAY BAUM’S Act dispatchable location compliance requires the location of the emergency within the premises. 911ComplyPoint® auditing and testing ensures that location is understandable and accurate to help first responders locate the emergency faster.

  • Situational Awareness Kari’s Law Act on-site notification ensures that personnel within the organization are aware of the emergency. This allows them to guide first responders to the emergency location, which can further streamline the response process.

  • The Result: 911ComplyPoint® Certification significantly enhances the operational capabilities of PSAPs. By receiving more accurate and immediate information, PSAPs can dispatch emergency services quicker and with better information, leading to potentially improved outcomes in emergency situations.

How We Work With Your Center

During the on-site testing phase of every full audit, we contact your center directly to coordinate live 911 test calls. We work within your scheduling requirements, minimize the impact on your operations, and ensure your telecommunicators are prepared for test activity.
We also review the supplemental location data your center requires and confirm that the organization’s MLTS is formatted to meet those requirements. That includes addressing character limits, field truncation issues, and any specific formatting conventions your center uses. When we find discrepancies, we work with the organization to correct them before certification is issued.
The result is a certified organization whose 911 calls your center can rely on.

What Certification Means for You

When a call originating organization earns 911ComplyPoint® certification, it means their system has been tested against your actual PSAP environment, not a generic standard. Their location data has been validated. Their notification procedures have been confirmed. Their staff understands their role in maintaining compliance.
One Minnesota ECC 9-1-1 and GIS Specialist put it this way: this audit process results in better information sent to telecommunicators than 90% of the calls their county receives.
That outcome is what 911ComplyPoint® is designed to produce, for every organization we certify, in every coverage area where we work.
